On 5-22-2024, Deputies responded to the school after a staff member received the threat on their personal cell phone. The school was placed on lockdown and students were evacuated from the school. Further investigation deemed the threat not credible.
Detectives were able to track the phone from where the threatening call originated. It was located in Peoria, Arizona and belonged to a 13-year-old juvenile who had made similar calls to schools in other locations throughout the country.
Law enforcement in Arizona is currently investigating the incident.
