"I want to thank all the Correctional Officers at the Honor Farm for their dedication and hard work on this program, as well as, the San Luis Obispo Bike Club and 40 community members who donated money to buy the required helmets to go along with the bikes."
The bicycles are donated by local persons and stores, including Wal-Mart, and are refurbished by inmates at the jail honor farm. "The bicycle program is a hit with the inmates and staff." said Sgt. Reann Schwiebert "We look forward to it every year."
