Contact: Tony CipollaPhone: (805) 781 4547Date and time of incident: 9-10-13, Approximately 8:00 AMPlace of Occurrence: Beach near San Simeon State Park CampgroundVictim Information: N/ASuspect Information: N/AOn 9-10-13, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office received a report about a panga boat that was beached near the San Simeon State Park Campground. Deputies along with State Park Rangers discovered an abandoned 30-foot panga boat containing one 30 pound package of marijuana. It's believed that several thousand pounds of marijuana were offloaded from the boat sometime overnight or early this morning. No arrests were made. The street value of the marijuana recovered is estimated at $18,000. Detectives are continuing to investigate with the assistance of State Park Rangers and the U.S. Coast Guard.
