When Detectives entered the residence they discovered a butane honey oil conversion lab which converts marijuana into hash oil or "honey oil." The extraction process uses parts of the marijuana plant that are low in THC content, and converts them to a more concentrated oil using butane gas in the process. This process is highly dangerous and can result in explosions.
Three children, ages 15, 12 and 10 months old were located in the home. The 10-month-old boy was found sleeping on a mattress which was on the floor in one of the bedrooms. The area surrounding the mattress was covered with various forms of marijuana, along with marijuana smoking pipes and a broken glass marijuana pipe. Child Welfare Services took custody of the 10-month-old boy. He later tested positive for marijuana.
41-year-old Damien Glos of Arroyo Grande was arrested for the manufacture and sale of a controlled substance. 25-year-old Travis Traynor was arrested for outstanding warrants. 20-year-old Alyssa White of Arroyo Grande was arrested on a charge of child endangerment.
