He died on July 1 after falling off a cliff in Shell Beach. His death is being ruled as accidental. The Coroner's report says Blankenship sustained blunt force trauma from going off the cliff. Toxicology results are pending. The Pismo Beach Police Department is conducting its own investigation in conjunction with the Coroner's Office.
