Search and Rescue team early Thursday morning after the police began investigating an at risk missing person case.
The Sheriff's Dept. scrambled 19 volunteers, two sergeants and three K-9 search teams that resulted in locating the missing person in heavy brush off the dead end of San Luis Drive.
The missing man's motorcycle had been located by SLOPD patrol personnel and was used by the search team as a starting point for the search and also a scent source for the K-9 teams.
The SAR K-9 team of Nancy Acebo and Lance Wierschem with 7 year old German Sheppard "Jaydn" located the missing man in heavy brush about a quarter of a mile from his motorcycle. SAR team members provided immediate medical to the man who was in distress from hypothermia and additional medical issues. The victim was transported to French Hospital for treatment.
