A 16 year old female was hiking the trail leading from the parking area down to the beach with relatives. She apparently lost her footing and slipped off the trail. The victim fell approx. 50 down landing on the rocks below.
Cal-Fire personnel, with the assistance of Sheriff's Deputies extracted the victim from the rocks using ropes and a litter.
The victim had trauma to her face and was complaining of abdominal pain. She was transported by SLO Ambulance personnel to Sierra Vista Hospital.
