Foothill Blvd., parking lot of Albertson's Supermarket, San Luis ObispoVictim Information: N/ASuspect Information: Adam Dykes, 28On 8-22-12, members of the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office Special Operations Unit arrested Adam Dykes, a known gang member who had violated his parole. Dykes was spotted in the parking lot of Albertson's Supermarket in the 700 block of E. Foothill Blvd. in San Luis Obispo. Officers with the Gang Task Force and Narcotics Unit took Dykes into custody around 7:30 pm. During the arrest, Dykes tried to escape by fleeing in his car. As he did so, he placed his vehicle into reverse and attempted to back up a short distance. In the process of trying to flee, Dykes nearly hit deputies with the vehicle. Dykes has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, felony resisting arrest, and a parole violation. Bail is set at 50-thousand dollars. Booking photo release authorized.
