School Resource Officers with the San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Office will be hosting a weeklong summer program at Lillian Larsen Elementary School in San Miguel with the assistance of school employees. The program will run from June 18 through June 22, 9 am to 3 pm each day, and will focus on furthering the goals of the Gang Resistance Education and Training program started at the school last fall. The weeklong event will culminate in a graduation ceremony on June 22 at 1:30 pm, and will feature Assemblyman Katcho Achadjian as a guest speaker. The media is invited to attend the graduation ceremony or make arrangements to visit the summer program during the week. Please contact Deputy Clint Cole at 305-7189 to make arrangements to attend either event.
