Contact: Tony Cipolla Phone: (805) 305-8315Date and time of incident: 7-8-12 7:50 PMPlace of Occurrence: Cucamonga Trail X Dorris Rd.Victim Information: Joseph King Cochran 49, California ValleySuspect Information: Gina Loret Mayborn 55, California Valley On 7-8-12 at 7:50 pm, Sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call regarding a shooting that happened in California Valley. Deputies arrived on scene to find a man dead from a single shotgun wound. The victim has been identified as 49 year old Joseph King Cochran. During the course of the investigation, it was revealed there had been a dispute between Cochran and the suspect, 55-year-old Gina Loret Mayborn. The victim lived in a trailer, on or next to the same property where the suspect lived. Paramedics from Cal Fire station 42 in California Valley responded to the scene and attempted aid to the victim, but they were not successful and the victim was determined to be dead at the scene. Mayborn was arrested and booked on a charge of homicide. Booking photo release authorized.
