Contact: Aaron Nix, CommanderPhone: (805) 781-1423Date and time of incident: 03/15/12, 1400 hoursPlace of Occurrence: 100 block of East Tefft St., NipomoVictim Information: Filinow, Dixie Collins, 69 yoaSuspect Information: N/AOn 03/15/12 Sheriff's Deputies received a report of a missing adult from the Nipomo area. Family members stated Dixie Filinow had not been seen in at least five days, and she could not be located at her home or in the company of other friends or relatives. Filinow is a white female adult, 69 years of age, 5-09, 195 lbs., with blond hair and blue eyes. Her family stated she has a history of mental illness and has been missing on at least one other prior occasion. Approximately five months ago Filinow left her home without advising anyone of her plans and was later located by family visiting a sister in Florida.

Sheriff's Detectives are actively investigating Filinow's disappearance and believe she might be in the company of a local man travelling to an unknown out of state location. The man is Ernest Lee McGuire, 51 years of age, 5-08, 165 lbs., with brown hair and eyes. They are believed to be travelling in a 1987 Ford Mustang convertible, grey with black top, California License #6AMG678.

The Sheriff's Detective Division is asking the public to contact the Sheriff's Office dispatch at 781-4550 with any information they may have on the current location of Filinow or McGuire. Detectives have no reason at this time to believe Filinow is in danger, but ask that anyone seeing her or McGuire not attempt contact but rather phone the Sheriff's Office immediately.

A photograph of Filinow will be distributed to the media in conjunction with this press release. Please contact Commander Aaron Nix with any further inquiries.
