The subject is believed to have been involved in a carjacking that occurred earlier in Santa Maria. Deputies pursued the subject to Nipomo. The subject crashed the vehicle into a fence at the intersection of Juniper and Mary in Nipomo. The suspect ran from the car into an occupied home on Encino Lane. A mother and four year old child were able to escape from the home with the assistance of Sheriff's SED team members. The suspect is armed and is the lone occupant now inside the house.
