Contact: Tony CipollaPhone: (805) 781 4547Date and time of incident: 2-23-14, Approximately 7:15 AMPlace of Occurrence: Near CambriaVictim Information: N/ASuspect Information: N/AOn 2-23-14, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office received a report of a panga boat on the beach in the area of the hiking trail across from San Simeon Campground. The preliminary investigation indicates the panga boat was transporting people. This is supported by items found in and around the boat. Deputies are checking the area for possible vehicles and suspects associated with the boat. At this time, no narcotics have been discovered and no arrests have been made. This boat is slightly different from other panga boats that have been recovered because of the lack of storage space to transport narcotics. The investigation is ongoing and no additional information is available at this time
