Jody Lee Daniel was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail after he allegedly attacked a female he was traveling with and assaulted a male companion who came to her aide. During the altercation, Daniel retrieved a wooden billy club like stick from their car, chased the male and began breaking windows out of the vehicle. Daniel does not own the damaged car.
At one point, the male companion that came to the woman's aide was armed with a hatchet, however it was never used.
Responding deputies, assisted by CHP, took Daniel into custody without incident.
Daniel was booked on assault with a deadly weapon (stick) and vandalism. He is being held without bail.
