Armed Robbery Arrest

Tefft Street in Nipomo on 11-4-16, Sheriff's Detectives received information that the suspect in that incident was staying at his parent's house in Ventura County.
With the assistance of the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, Deputies on 12-29-16 located the suspect at a residence in the 400 block of Old Grade Road in Oak View, CA. Deputies arrested 24-year-old Matthew Edward Martinez of Nipomo. He was booked into County Jail on charges of armed robbery with an enhancement of using a firearm.
It's believed, Martinez was the suspect wearing the mask and holding the gun when he robbed the Chevron gas station of money, cigarettes and lottery scratchers. Detectives had already arrested 19-year-old Reed Hoffman on 12-7-16 at his residence in the 300 block of South Oak Glen Avenue in Nipomo for his involvement in the armed robbery.
