Vandalism Update

Contact: Tony CipollaPhone: (805) 781 4547Date and time of incident: 6-9-13, Approximately 4:00 AM Place of Occurrence: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 2050 Palisades Avenue, Los Osos Victim Information: N/ASuspect Information: N/AOn 6-11-13, as a result of its investigation, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office was able to identify and contact those responsible for the acts of vandalism on 6-9-13 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Los Osos. Seven stained glass windows and three other windows had been broken at the church. After initially denying their involvement, two male suspects, an 18-year-old from Morro Bay and a 19-year-old from Los Osos both admitted they were responsible for the damage to the church. Investigators were able to confirm this incident was not a hate crime. There are no outstanding suspects in this case. The Sheriff's Office will forward this case to the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney's Office for review. Since no arrests were made in this case, the Sheriff's Office can not legally disclose the identities of those involved at this time.
