Contact: Rob BrynPhone: (805) 781-4547Date and time of incident: 12-16-11 7:36 PMPlace of Occurrence: Mr. Smokes, 2790 Halcyon, rural Arroyo GrandeVictim Information: State of CaliforniaSuspect Information: Ayass, Ghanem Melhem El DOB: 7-15-59San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's deputies working under an Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) grant arrested the owner of Mr. Smokes on Halcyon Road on Friday after conducting an undercover minor sting operation. A nineteen year old male working with the Sheriff's Office entered the business in the 2900 blk of Halcyon Rd. where he purchased an alcoholic beverage and a marijuana pipe. Mr. Smokes does not have a license to sell alcoholic beverages. Deputies entered the store to issue a citation and discovered narcotics paraphernalia, including pipes used to smoke methamphetamine and illegal throwing star weapons and a collection of brass knuckles. The owner was taken into custody and booked on weapon, narcotics, ABC and probation violation.
