Arriving prior to fire personnel, Deputy Pozdolski with the assistance of Senior Deputy Miller, crawled into the smoke filled residence and rescued an unconscious male victim from inside. A second victim was assisted with the removal of her two birds and a cat prior to her leaving the home as well. A third victim was evacuated from an adjacent apartment without incident. After CalFire arrived at the scene, the two deputies were sent to Sierra Vista Hospital for evaluation of smoke exposure, treated and released.
