Lawrence "Alan" Baughman was taken into custody in Oceano after detectives discovered thousands of images of child pornography on a computer that was traced to Baughman.
Baughman apparently lived in his car, but kept a separate van that he stored computer equipment in, moving from place to place and plugging into outside power receptacles and downloading the images with an air card.
Detectives continue to await further computer forensic results and have seized hundreds of discs that they believe contain similar images of children.
