The classroom attacked was the year book staff room, which held camera equipment. The person broke out a window and removed cameras and lenses valued at $8500.00. A 16 year old male juvenile from Loma Vista Community School was arrested on Friday afternoon after recovering most of the camera equipment he had stolen. Some of the equipment was stashed in various locations and one of the lenses was sold on-line. The School Resource Officer program was credited with solving the hate crime at a south county school last year and handles numerous calls for service at our county schools.
