Miroslava Gonzalez Murguia is being held in the Yuma County Detention Center on a accessory to murder warrant from San Luis Obispo County. Santa Barbara County District Attorney personnel are currently processing the paperwork needed for extradition. Murguia will join Alejandro Carrillo and Michael William Sauceda in the Santa Barbara County Jail awaiting trial on murder charges. Charges against Stacy Doreen Araujo arrested earlier in the investigation have been dropped.
Gonzalez body was found in a broccoli field on Bonita School Rd. near Division on 2-15-10. Investigators believe the murder actually took place in Santa Barbara county and the body dumped in Nipomo. The victim had been shot.
San Luis Obispo County Sheriff investigators and personnel from Santa Barbara County Sheriff, Santa Maria and Guadalupe Police, along with Santa Barbara County District Attorney's office have all participated in this case.
A mug shot from Yuma has been requested and will be available later in the day.
