Through out the year bikes are donated by members of the community, service organizations, and private businesses to the Men's Honor Farm, where they are refurbished by the inmates. Through the years many older vintage bikes, along with some high quality road bikes and mountain bikes have been donated. There are even a number of very high end carbon fiber bikes that will be on display.

During Christmas time various public agencies, community groups, churches, homeless shelters, etc, request bicycles that are then distributed to underprivileged children through out the community. With each bicycle that is donated to a child 18 or under a helmet is also provided. The funds raised from the bike auction will go back into the Bicycle Fund to purchase parts to refurbish bicycles and helmets.

Posters advertising the event will be distributed to local bicycle clubs, YMCA's, schools, gyms, and businesses in the community.

The Sheriff's Advisory Committee will take receipt of all funds generated the day of the auction. They are a non-profit organization, and will provide their tax ID number on request to those who wish to use their purchase as a tax deduction. Terms of the sale are cash or check only with valid identification. All monies must be paid the day of the auction to take receipt of any purchased bicycle.

Please contact Correctional Sergeant Michelle Voisenat with specific questions regarding the details of the sale at 781-4637.
