Marijuana Eradication - High Risk Warrant Service

The raid included the use of sheriff's bullet resistant vehicles after a subject appeared to be guarding the grow with a .308 caliber rifle.
Luis Mendoza-Castaneda was taken into custody without incident and the weapon recovered. Mendoza-Castaneda is a Washington state man who apparently was recruited to tend the local marijuana grow.
Seized were 128 adult plants weighing in at 1950 lbs.
Mendoza-Castaneda was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on one count of cultivation of marijuana for sale with a bail of $50,000.00 in addition to an immigration and customs hold.
