The woman was walking her dog when she heard what she believed was a gunshot, her dog yelped and spun around. The woman heard a second shot and her dog began to yelp. She saw a man crouching nearby and confronted him. The man, later identified as Sanchez, threatened the woman and she fled.
Arriving deputies confronted the man and when they attempted to arrest him, Sanchez resisted.
Sanchez has been charged with terrorist threats, cruelty to animals and resisting arrest.
The dog sustained two pellet gun wounds and was treated and released by a local veterinarian. The weapon has been recovered.
Sanchez was released this afternoon after posting the $50,000.00 bail.
