Overdue Juvenile - Located

The two persons, a male adult and female juvenile were staying at a local hotel with the girls parent. When the couple did not return, the mother called the Sheriff's Office to report them missing. Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the pair. Assistance was requested from the California Highway Patrol air operations unit in Paso Robles who scrambled a helicopter to assist and Coast Guard Morro Bay launched a vessel and requested additional air support from Coast Guard Los Angeles.
It turned out the two had met some local people and fallen asleep in a nearby residence. An adult woman at the residence was awakened by the CHP helicopter activity and discovered the sleeping persons, sending them back to their hotel.
Sheriff's Search and Rescue ground units along with the air and vessel assets were canceled at 4:44 AM.
