The deputies extinguished the small fire and found what appeared to be a home made explosive devise made from a can wrapped in cloth. Inside the can was what appeared to be a pipe bomb. Bomb Task Force deputies responded to safely handle the item and later detonated the suspected explosive at approximately 5:30 AM.
Persons are remained not to touch or attempt to defuse any item they find that appears to be a homemade explosive or incendiary device.
Possession, use, manufacture or sale of explosive devices are punishable by terms in state prison.
