Gonzalez body was found in Nipomo on Bonita School Road near the side of the roadway on the morning of February 15th.
Carrillo was developed as a suspect in the Gonzalez case and was taken into custody by Santa Maria police after being briefed by sheriff's detectives.
Sheriff's officials continue to investigate the murder.
