Contact: Tony CipollaPhone: (805) 781-4547Date and time of incident: 8-26-12Place of Occurrence: 400 Block of Leighton, Cambria Victim Information: Tyler Daniel Hanks, 20Suspect Information: N/AOn 8-26-12, at approximately 8:30 am, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a missing/overdue subject in the Cambria area. An investigation was begun in the 400 block of Leighton Street. Evidence that investigators found was suspicious and indicated foul play. A search was conducted around the area. At approximately 4:45 pm a body was located on nearby property in Cambria. The body was identified as 20-year-old Tyler Daniel Hanks of Cambria. His death appears to be the result of foul play. Currently one resident of the home on Leighton Street is in custody for a parole violation. It is believed this is an isolated incident. The investigation is on-going with investigators on the scene. The Public Information Officer for the Sheriff's Office is available at the scene for media requests.
