Strong Arm Robbery

Contact: Tony CipollaPhone: (805) 781-4547Date and time of incident: 1-19-17, Approximately 8:00 AMPlace of Occurrence: 1500 block of 4th Street, Los OsosVictim Information: N/ASuspect Information: N/AOn 1-19-17, the Sheriff's Office received a report of a strong armed robbery which had just occurred in the 1500 block of 4th Street in Los Osos. A male victim reported he had been sleeping when he heard a knock at the door of his residence. When he answered the door, he says several men wearing ski masks forced their way into the home. After taking several items, the men drove off. No weapons were involved in this incident. The victim was not harmed.
Deputies and Sheriff's Detectives responded to the incident and began a search for the suspects. There were reports two of the suspects were in the Morro Bay area. Deputies and Detectives responded and took two men into custody near the intersection of San Jacinto Street and Main Street in Morro Bay. At this time, the suspects have not been identified.
Morro Bay Police, Morro Bay Harbor Patrol, a CHP helicopter, a Sheriff's Office K9, Cal Poly Police K9, a State Parks K9 and State Parks Rangers assisted the Sheriff's Office with the search.
The search for the other suspects is continuing.
