Contact: Rob BrynPhone: (805) 781-4547Date and time of incident: 8-3-11 2:40 PMPlace of Occurrence: Carls Jr. parking lot, K-Mart Center, Arroyo GrandeVictim Information: N/ASuspect Information: Alexander Jacob Bradfordmendenhall DOB: 7-13-88 of Pismo BeachSan Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Narcotic Unit detectives were conducting a surveillance on Wednesday when they observed Alexander Bradfordmendenhall in the parking lot of a local fast food restaurant in Arroyo Grande. The probationer was out on bail and believed to be dealing in methamphetamine. When deputies approached Bradfordmendenhall, he attempted to flee and was taken into custody after a brief struggle. Three ounces of methamphetamine were recovered at the scene. The man is currently being held in county jail on a probation hold and charged with transportation and possession of methamphetamine for sale, resisting arrest, and felon on bail.Booking photo release authorized.
