The man has been identified as 29-year old Oscar Edwardo Palomares-Osoria of Corcoran, California. Witnesses reported hearing the man call out in distress while swimming in the lake near the Sandy Point campground, before going under the water. At this time there is no indication of suspicious circumstances.
An autopsy will be conducted on Wednesday to determine the manner and cause of death.
