Drug Lab and Child Endangerment Arrests

Contact: Commander Brian HascallPhone: (805) 781-1423Date and time of incident: 11/11/10 at 7:50 PMPlace of Occurrence: 844 Seabright Avenue, Grover BeachVictim Information: two male children, ages 8 and 6Suspect Information: Max Ryan Jordan, 30 years old, resident of Grover Beach Jennifer Marie Ellis, 33 years old, resident of Grover BeachOn 11/11/10 at 7:50 PM, Detectives of the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit, while following up on an investigation into manufacturing and possession of illegal drugs, conducted a probation search on a single family residence at 844 Seabright Avenue in Grover Beach. Detectives discovered a boxed methamphetamine lab and a functioning "butane honey oil" conversion lab in the garage of the residence. In the residence they located a quantity of cocaine and opiate based prescription narcotics.
Two autistic children, ages 8 and 6 were taken into protective custody and turned over to County Child Welfare Services.
Arrested were : Max Ryan Jordan for manufacture, sales, and possession of a controlled substance and felony child endangerment ; and Jennifer Marie Ellis for felony child endangerment. Bail was set at $500,000 for Jordan and $100,000 for Ellis.
