Contact: Tony CipollaPhone: (805) 781-4547Date and time of incident: 11-2-12, Approximately 9:50 AMPlace of Occurrence: 1500 block of Templeton Road, TempletonVictim Information: N/ASuspect Information: White male adult, military style haircut, Between 5-8 and 5-9, stocky, reddish-colored skin, camouflage style clothing, carrying large 10 inch macheteOn 11-2-12, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office received a report of man carrying a machete and wearing camouflage style clothing in the 1500 block of Templeton Road in Templeton. When deputies responded to the location where the man was last seen, they discovered a burglary had taken place at a nearby business. The man was last seen going in the direction of the riverbed towards the Home Depot in Atascadero. A search was begun that included Sheriff's deputies, Sheriff's K9 units, ATV's, CHP helicopter, and Atascadero Police officers. After a lengthy search the man was not located in the area and the search has been discontinued. The Sheriff's Office is advising residents to take normal precautions such as locking your doors if you're inside your home. If you see the man, you're asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 781-4550.
