Civil Division

The Civil Division is responsible for the service of civil process including evictions, summons and complaints, small claims documents, subpoenas, and restraining orders. The Civil Division also provides for the security of Superior court locations in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Grover Beach, and the Juvenile Services Center on Hwy 1. Deputies assigned to this division oversee the security screening at court buildings, serve as Bailiffs in the courtrooms, and provide security for court staff, Judges, and Court Commissioners.
