With this year’s theme, “Extending the Vision, Reaching Every Victim,” we recommit to the ideal of every victim receiving the help they need in the aftermath of crime.

San Luis Obispo County’s own Crime Victims’ Service Agencies will be recognizing our community’s service providers, law enforcement and business professionals, crime victims and survivors for their dedication in promoting and advancing crime victims’ rights on April 26th from 3-5 pm at Embassy Suites in San Luis Obispo.

This memorable awards ceremony and dessert reception will feature special remarks by San Luis Obispo Sheriff Ian Parkinson, and recognition of 2012’s distinguished honorees:

Julia and Scott Starkey, Courage Award for survivors of crime;

Donna Jones, District Attorney Investigator, Champion Award as
outstanding criminal justice representative;

Tracy Nix, District Attorney Child Interview Specialist, Compassion Award for advocate representation;

Edna Valley Vineyard, Commitment Award for community member or business support.

Sheriff Parkinson would like to invite members of the local media to attend and assist local law enforcement and victim advocates in honoring this years' award recipients.
