Assault With a Deadly Weapon
Contact: Tony CipollaPhone: (805) 781-4547Date and time of incident: 9-23-12, Approximately 10:30 PMPlace of Occurrence: 1500 Block of "K" Street, San MiguelVictim Information: Jon Richard Dacy, 21, Pollock Pines, CASuspect Information: Benjamin Dealba, Jr., 19, San MiguelOn 9-23-12, The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a stabbing at a house party in the 1500 block of "K" Street in San Miguel. Detectives were told the party was being held for 19-year-old Benjamin Dealba, Jr., who was leaving for the Air Force the following day. Dealba says 21-year-old Jon Richard Dacy showed up uninvited to the party and began arguing with Dealba's father outside the residence. The argument escalated and Dacy struck Dealba's father several times with his fists. Dealba, Jr., went to his room, retrieved a knife and confronted Dacy. Dealba says Dacy threw a punch and Dealba responded by stabbing him. Dacy suffered a cut and a puncture wound to his stomach and was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center. Dealba was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Booking photo release authorized.
