Burglary - Poss. of Stolen Property - Arrest

A house in the 25000 blk of Salinas Road had apparently been left unlocked. Missing from inside the residence was a towel, personal hygiene products, slippers, shirt, pants, prescription medication and a .38 caliber handgun. The burglary was reported at 8:28 AM today.
Deputies doing a neighborhood canvas located a storage trailer on property nearby and contacted a person living inside. When the man answered the door, he was allegedly wearing the shirt, pants and slippers from the burglary. The handgun has also been recovered.
Taken into custody for possession of stolen property was Jacob William Johnson of Atascadero.
The investigation is continuing.
