Arrest for attempted vehicle theft

Brian HascallPhone: (805) 781-1423Date and time of incident: 06/10/11 at 8:40 AMPlace of Occurrence: 22300 block of F Street, Santa MargaritaVictim Information: N/ASuspect Information: Fritz Schnoor, age 21, resident of Arroyo GrandeOn 6/10/11 at 8:40 AM Deputies responded to the 22300 block of F Street in Santa Margarita regarding a male subject in a residential garage being held at gunpoint. Deputies on scene determined that the male subject, Schnoor, had attempted to steal a car parked in the alley between F Street and El Camino Real. When this attempt failed, he fled the scene, climbed over a residential fence, and hid in the garage. The homeowner was alerted by a neighbor that Schnoor had run into his garage and the homeowner confronted Schnoor and held him at gunpoint until Deputies arrived. Schnoor is being held on $10,000 bail. Booking photo release authorized.
