Deputies responded to a call of a disturbance at a campsite in the Lake Nacimiento Campground overflow area. As deputies approached the parolee attempted to flee driving through an adjacent campsite, striking a tent and drove at one of the deputies that was attempting to stop him. The suspect was eventually taken into custody after initially resisting.
The injured deputy was airlifted by CHP helicopter to Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton where he is listed in good condition.
