Today, those search efforts are continuing with Sheriff's Dive and Search personnel along with CHP air operations. At this time, outside agencies and the CA National Guard have concluded their assistance. The Sheriff's Office would like to express its thanks to those agencies who assisted with the search for Kyle.
Today's search operation will take place where San Marcos creek empties into the Salinas River. Additionally our search teams continue to monitor San Marcos creek levels and recheck areas as necessary as water levels and conditions change.
Future search operations will be conducted on a continuous but limited basis as weather permits.
The Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's cooperation with not conducting self-initiated searches. These searches can actually be a detriment to our ongoing search operations.
