At-Risk Missing Person Update
Contact: Tony CipollaPhone: (805) 781-4547Date and time of incident: 9-15-12Place of Occurrence: San Simeon AreaVictim Information: Suzanne Kay Smith, 59, Los OsosSuspect Information: N/AOn 9-15-12, at approximately 1:30 PM, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office suspended the search for Suzanne Kay Smith. The Los Osos woman was reported missing on 9-10-12. A car believed to be associated with Smith was discovered north of the Piedras Blancas lighthouse. A search of that area was begun on 9-14-12. On 9-15-12 the search resumed with Sheriff's investigators, Search and Rescue, the C-H-P, State Parks rangers and members of the federal Bureau of Land Management. The investigation into this at-risk missing person case continues. Smith is described as a white female, brown hair, brown eyes, 5-07, 200 pounds.
