Arrest of a Homicide Suspect

Contact: Tony CipollaPhone: (805) 781-4547Date and time of incident: 9-28-12Place of Occurrence: Sheriff's Office County JailVictim Information: Tyler Daniel Hanks, 20, Cambria Suspect Information: Brandon Noble Henslee, 22, CambriaOn 9-28-12, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office arrested Brandon Noble Henslee of Cambria and charged him with the murder of Tyler Daniel Hanks. Investigators discovered Hanks body in a wooded area in Cambria on 8-26-12 after being reported missing from his home in the 400 block of Leighton Street. Henslee is the half-brother of Hanks and was living with the victim at the time of the murder. Henslee has been in custody at the County Jail since his arrest on 8-26-12 on a parole hold. The Sheriff wants to reassure the residents of Cambria this was an isolated incident and that Henslee is the primary suspect responsible for the death of Hanks. Since this is an on-going investigation, the Sheriff's Office will not be releasing any further information at this time. Booking photo release authorized.
