The body is that of an adult male. Because the body was partially decomposed, it is believed to have been in the water for some time. At this time, Investigators with the Coroner's Office are in the process of trying to positively identify the body. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.

They contacted law enforcement. The Sheriff's Office, the Coroner's Unit of the Sheriff's Office, State Parks Rangers and Pismo Beach Police responded to the scene.The body is that of an adult male.
