Homicide Update
Contact: Tony CipollaPhone: (805) 781 4547Date and time of incident: 6-21-13, Approximately 10:45 PM Place of Occurrence: 1300 block of 19th Street, Oceano Victim Information: Joseph Luis Padilla, 25, Nipomo Suspect Information: Joseph Adrian Munoz, 36, Oceano On 9-18-13, San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Detectives arrested Joseph Munoz for the murder of Joseph Padilla. Padilla was stabbed during a fight on 6-21-13 in the 1300 block of 19th Street in Oceano. Munoz was already in custody for a probation violation. Munoz was identified early on as a person of interest in this case and the investigation resulted in his arrest. He was re-booked into County Jail on one count of homicide. The case has now been turned over to the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney's Office. The investigation is still on-going. A $1,000 reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers for anyone who has information on this case that assists in the conviction of Munoz.
