When Sheriff's Deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call at that location this morning, they discovered a man deceased inside a home. It's believed the victim knocked on the door of a neighbor's house and when they opened the door the victim told the residents inside that he had been shot. The victim died shortly afterwards.
The Coroner's Unit of the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim as 41-year-old Daniel Fuentes, Sr. of Oceano.
Sheriff's Detectives are asking those residents who live in that area who may have video footage from anytime during the night of April 2 to the morning of April 3 to contact the Sheriff's Office. Possible sources of video may be home surveillance cameras or doorbell type cameras.
