The Sheriff's Office encourages everyone who lives in San Luis Obispo County to register their cellphones with the Reverse 911 system to receive information on evacuation orders, missing persons, Amber Alerts, etc.
It's easy to register. Just access the Sheriff's Office website at slosheriff.org, click on resources on the home page, and select Reverse 911 on the drop down menu. From there you will be prompted to input your cell phone information.

Because that community is affiliated with a Monterey County zip code, residents who live there had difficulty accessing San Luis Obispo County's Reverse 911 system.
