Rodriguez had been wanted by the Sheriff's Office since an incident in Nipomo on 2-19-16, when Rodriguez is suspected of pulling up in his car alongside another car with three female occupants inside. Rodriguez then fired off one shot at the women in the car. No one was hurt. Rodriguez was last seen headed southbound on highway 101 toward Santa Maria. The Sheriff's Office put out a BOL (Be On the Lookout) to other local law enforcement agencies. The Sheriff's Office is appreciative of the public's help with this case in which it received a number of tips and leads regarding the whereabouts of Rodriguez.

Alpine Street, Arroyo GrandeVictim Information: N/ASuspect Information: Richard Anthony Rodriguez, 30, Nipomo On 2-29-16, Sheriff's Deputies on patrol observed a vehicle which was thought to be associated with attempted murder suspect Richard Anthony Rodriguez. The Deputies made a felony traffic stop at the intersection of Cornwall Avenue and N. Alpine Street in Arroyo Grande. Two occupants were in the car. One of them was identified as Rodriguez.
