The Sheriff's Marine Enforcement Unit, Sheriff's Underwater Search and Recovery Dive Team, Port San Luis Harbor Patrol, US Coast Guard vessels and helicopter and a CHP helicopter immediately began searching the area.
A witness, who was on the boat, says the man entered the water and did not resurface.
Crews will continue searching until 8:30 PM and then reassess the situation.
