Sheriff's Deputies identified a vehicle that matched the description in the parking lot of a gas station on West Tefft and Highway 101. Deputies made contact with the driver. When they did, Deputies noticed drug paraphernalia next to the driver. They also had knowledge that the driver was on felony probation. They asked the driver to step out of the car, but instead the driver took off headed northbound on Highway 101.
The driver led Deputies on a chase that reached speeds up to 100 miles an hour on the highway. The vehicle then exited the highway and came to a stop at a dead end at Poppy Lane off of Dale Avenue in rural Arroyo Grande. The driver then took off on foot. Neighbors in the area heard the commotion and then gave chase to the driver. They were able to subdue the driver as Deputies arrived on scene. No accidents or injuries resulted from this incident.
Deputies arrested 27-year-old Blaise Borgen for felony evading an officer, a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, possession of a controlled substance and violation of probation. He was booked into County Jail with bail set at $25,000.

The caller says the driver of the vehicle was taking photos of her children who were playing outside the home.
