During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that a 16-year-old female victim in San Luis Obispo County had been sexually assaulted by Anderson. It's believed Anderson used the victim to manufacture child pornography for distribution.
On 1-12-17, Detectives with the Sheriff's Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement (SAFE) team served a search warrant at Anderson's home in the 1900 block of 11th Street in Los Osos. Investigators seized three cell phones, a tablet, and three laptops. On one cellphone alone, Detectives found hundreds of commercial and home-made images of pre-pubescent children engaged in sexual acts. The rest of the seized electronics will be forensically analyzed for child pornography.
Detectives arrested 27-year-old Ian Trent Shaw Anderson of Los Osos for possession, distribution and the manufacture of child pornography.
Investigators are looking for any additional victims or witnesses associated with Anderson. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Sheriff's Office Detective Division at 805-781-4500. The investigation is continuing.
